Workshops
Workshops at Turtle Studios
***All participants to in-studio workshops must be healthy, vaccinated, and if necessary willing to mask up while moving about the studio. The space is large and we will maintain distance and safety - while encouraging creative intimacy and risk-taking!***
Some workshops are being held virtually via Zoom.
Workshops are available to Affiliates, Summer Affiliates, and invited non-affiliated people unless otherwise indicated.
Workshop Proposals must be proposed in writing to the Pentagang, details to include; time and day of the workshop, fees if any and the level of compensation the initiator(s) proposes to receive.
● Non-Affiliates wishing to offer a workshop must apply to the Pentagang. They will be regarded as renters of the studio. (See “Studio Rental” section.)
● If the workshop uses the Studio’s resources significantly, the workshop facilitator must restock used materials.
● Non-Affiliate attendees must pay the posted non-affiliate fee to attend the workshop and have access to the studio during the designated hours of the workshop only.
● A minimum of five (5) participants is necessary to occupy one of the studio spaces exclusively by the workshop.

Are you aching to work alongside other artists? broaden your artistic skills? finish that project you have been working on? try something new?
Become part of a weekly Turtle Studios Creativity Circle! Tuesday daytime and evening groups are based on TS practices of play, non-judgment, and connecting with intuition. You will have time, encouragement, coaching, use of the art library and access to wall, floor, table space, play and basic art materials.
In addition to a journal and materials (no oils, please) or projects from home, bring lunch/dinner and snacks for yourself – kettle, microwave, and fridge are available for your use. Chocolate provided!
Tuesdays 11:30 am - 4 pm
Instructor Suzanne McLeod is a painter and Expressive Therapist. “Daily writing, walking in nature, studio time and meditation connect me to what's calling for creative attention. My first visit to Turtle Studios was in 1992. The time I spent in weekly groups and workshops learning from Kate (Ransohoff, TS founder) and from everyone in the studio is a big part of my creative foundation.”
