Play and creative expression connect us to what matters, and who we truly are – so important in change-filled times. These day and evening in-studio sessions offer supportive community for your creative self. Not to mention the fun, discoveries, happy accidents and great conversations that will happen!
Whatever your art-making experience or training, TS holds a place for you. Each weekly session begins with a short group check-in, followed by time for individual 2 and 3D creative work and writing. ABOUT SUZANNE McLEOD
I am a painter and Expressive Therapist. Daily writing, walks, studio time and meditation connect me to what's calling for creative attention. My first visit to Turtle Studios was in 1992. The time I spent in weekly groups and workshops learning from Kate (Ransohoff, TS founder) and from everyone in the studio is a big part of my creative foundation.
Feel free to contact me with any questions about the workshop series. – Suzanne McLeod

THE FINE PRINT: Please be vaccinated and, if it becomes necessary, willing to mask up while moving about the studio. The space is large, and we will maintain distance and safety — while encouraging creative intimacy and risk-taking! BYO lunch, dinner, snacks — there is a kitchen with fridge, microwave, hot water kettle, mugs, plates, and silverware available for use.
Turtle Studios can be your Touch Tree! (with thanks to Glennon Doyle)
"What’s a Touch Tree? A Touch Tree is used in wilderness survival techniques. If you are lost in the forest experts suggest that you very quickly find yourself a ‘Touch Tree’ or a home base to keep coming back to. You’re headed out to find water and berries to survive the day? Return to the Touch Tree at night. Running to the river for that daily bath (just because we’re lost doesn’t mean we give up on hygiene!) well, don’t forget to come back to your ‘home.’ Your Touch Tree is the place that is keeping you going and guiding you."
In other words, you are more likely to be found and to survive the (creative) wilderness, when you have a place to return to.
